The client

WeSeeHope is a charity that works side by side with African partners to help thousands of children isolated by poverty to create a better future for themselves. They are one of our founding clients and we have been working together for more than ten years now.

The brief

WeSeeHope approached Pre looking for an identity which was positive, impactful and effective. Probably like all charities, budget was a central consideration. So the brief included a range of usable assets and brand guidelines to be used by their internal team and international partners. Furthermore, the brand needed to stand out on materials from t-shirts, leaflets and promotional items to fundraising packs and exhibition stands. The charity’s website design brief was for an easy-to-use and fully responsive website that reflected the long term aspirations of their projects. They needed a website that was engaging, inspiring and a valuable resource for their audience. Probably just as important were the requirements behind the scenes. The system needed be easy to use, flexible and feature-rich, but also robust. Enough to grow and evolve with WeSeeHope as their needs change over time.

Our approach

We used colour, imagery and video to bring the new brand to life. A clear call to action on each page boosts engagement, encouraging visitors to get involved. Either by signing up to their newsletter, making a donation, fundraising or running an event.

WeSeeHope had a limited budget so we made sure that we designed their website to be cost effective, both in terms of the initial build and ongoing running costs. WeSeeHope update the site themselves, publishing new content using templates and preloaded image libraries. As a result, the website constantly evolves at no cost to the charity.

The result

After almost 22 years, the charity has raised over £18 million to support young people in Southern and Eastern Africa. Certainly, the credit for this rests entirely with the supporters, staff and partners of WeSeeHope. But we are incredibly proud to be involved in helping the charity communicate, engage, inform and fundraise as effectively as possible.
