Website for Walton Film Festival
This month sees the much-antipated and first ever Walton Film Festival. Funded and run by the businesses of the town centre, Walton-on-Thames Business Improvement District (BID) is working to make Walton a welcoming and vibrant place for businesses, visitors and residents alike.
After our previous success creating the Love Walton website, we were thrilled to be asked to work with the BID again to create the micosite for the upcoming 10-day stand-alone event.
Based on poster designs created by BID’s team, this year’s theme is based around Alice in Wonderland and marks the 120th anniversary of Cecil Hepworth’s film adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s book. One of the leading British Film Pioneers of the 1900’s, Cecil Hepworth was based at studios in Hurst Grove, Walton.
The microsite includes events listings, festival information, booking links and fun resources to both engage and inform the local community and encourage them to get involved. The website has been built with the future in mind so that it can be easily refreshed and updated every spring to reflect each year’s individual theme.
We can’t wait for the festival to start, and look forward to many years of success and growth ahead!
